In our view, the quality of joint and tissue mobility (tendons, ligaments, muscles, membranes, internal organs, vascular and lymphatic fluids, etc.) is a key factor in achieving optimal health. Any loss of mobility in the tissues impairs the body’s physiological functioning. Over time, these compensatory mechanisms can contribute to the development of a medical condition.
Apart from certain contraindications, as osteopathy is a system of medicine aimed at improving the body’s natural healing mechanisms, anyone can benefit from it.
The association’s primary aim is to make osteopathic care accessible – both geographically and financially – to patients at partner health centres.
The association advocates the view that osteopathy has a place alongside the other disciplines that make up primary care.
Thanks to your local health centre, which contributes towards the costs, the price is reduced for you. You are also partially reimbursed, as osteopaths hold a qualification recognised by health insurance providers and professional bodies.
